Getting JMXplorer

First, you must download JMXplorer on sourceforge. You will get a zipped version of the JMXplorer update site.

In the future, we will provide a remote site and you will be able to install and update JMXplorer from within Eclipse without specific external download needed.

Installing JMXplorer on eclipse

Step 1

Begin the installation from the Eclipse Help menu item.

Step 2

This screenshot show the screen as it initially comes up. In this case you will need to change the radio button to indicate that this is a new install. image:SearchForNewFeatures.png

Step 3

This screen will vary depending on the features you have installed already.Click the New Local Site button.

Step 4

Browse to the folder where you uncompressed the zipped version of the JMXplorer update site.

Step 5

Select jmxplorer site and Europa Discovery Site (because JMXplorer needs GEF) and click Finish

Step 6

This next screen shows all of the features that are available to install.Select jmxplorer feature

Step 7

As JMXplorer depends on GEF, click on "Select Required" button or select GEF feature on Europa Discovery Site.

Step 8

Click the button to accept the license agreement.

Confirm the install location

Step 10

Ignore warning and click on install all.

Step 11

Eclipse needs to be restarted after installing JMXplorer.
